Level gauges are supplied in a variety of configurations. In the most basic form, it consists of a measuring chamber connected to a vessel being monitored and a means to illustrate or communicate the changing level within the vessel. A direct reading level gauge allows one to see the actual fluid. An indirect device detects the fluid and sends the information to an external indicator.
